Background
All Things Considered came to fruition after I spent 20 years in elder care service here in the Coachelle Valley, including 5 years as the Administrator for Residential Elder Care homes, 5 years with In-Home Health/Hospice agencies and 3 years managing a full service team of nurses and ancillary staff for the patriarch and matriarch of a prominent family in their home.
What we offer
Certainly there are excellent facilities available for those who choose to move. However, there is an increasing need and desire for a full service team to look after those who choose to stay in their own home or whose families prefer this option.
I realize the importance that each team member plays in the broader picture of elder care and that some aspects of that care differ from the rehabilitative nursing that many of us receive from time to time. I also know it is important to have a good leader with commonsense values, the necessary experience and the contacts to ensure consistent, quality care throughout the journey.
Many of the agencies who provide care takers are simple referral agencies. Their staff may not be experienced in observing and reporting to the appropriate medical professionals the subtle changes that occur with aging. I work with a carefully selected team that will note these changes in condition and make sure the medical persons and family members are apprised.
